Hello, humans. I am tired of these computers, I must admit. They cause me nothing but trouble. Here is what I did. I have installed XP, on my first hard drive. Everything went fine. After that I have installed Redhat Linux 9, during installation and config everything also seemed to be just fine. I have placed Grub boot loader on the MBR. After I ejected the Disc from the drive and rebooted the computer, my computer just hangs, before the Grub boot loader appears. And it does hangs every time I try to boot the system, no matter which one. What now? How to fix this? I got no ideas. Thanks for any help.

You can try to rebuild your MBR with the windows XP recovery console. But than you will loose any information about Redhat on your hard drive. After you rebuild your partition table, try again with Linux loader, but try using Lilo instead of grub. I have heard that Grub may be incompatible with some platforms, and LILO is much easier to install. They are both ok, because they are nothing but OS selection loader, nothing else.
