Although with limited Linux experience, I'm trying Fedora Core 4 for the first time, and I'm having difficulties. Specifically, I can't get my ATI card to work. In download the latest drivers, and when I try them I get the message: "Failed to compile kernel module please consult readme." I've no idea what read me file this is referring to. A little help here?

I've had huge driver problems with ATI on Linux … though FC 4 was a pain in the ass in a number of other ways, but don't remember driver issues there. Still, I say drop it and try Ubuntu, it's supposed to deal with the omnipresent ATI and nVIDIA problems much better… or so I hear, having little first hand experience there.
