| When I'm buying new memory modules, that is? I'll be upgrading my computer soon, and one of the things that I intend to add will be another gig of RAM, because the one that I have now doesn't really cut it any more. But my question is, does the choice of brand really matter for this purchase? There's like a dozen big name companies and I don't know how many smaller ones, so I don't know whether or not they're offering significantly different degrees of quality? |

Well for starters, define "significantly". I mean, they don't offer "significant" differences in price either, so what you pay for is still what you get.
In general, when buying RAM you can't go wrong if you go with something ltried and true like Corsair, or maybe Kingston.
