After three years on my Samsung LCD monitor dead pixel showed itself. Until now picture was perfect and I was very satisfied with this monitor. What frightens me now is possibility of spreading dead pixels. I do not know anything about that but can you ease my mind and tell me do dead pixels spread.

Hello. Dead pixels are something you have to count with when using LCD monitors. Even the best quality panels can have dead pixels after exhaustive usage. Luckily, dead pixels do not spread meaning that if one showed it is not necessary that another one will show shortly after. However, it is not impossible that panel is getting old and that new dead pixels will show.
