| Hello. I am planning to run my own web site. I have conversation with some friends that are making web sites and they told me that some of required knowledge for running web site is PHP/MySQL. I do not know these things and, honestly, I am not planning to learn them. Is knowledge of PHP/MySQL really needed to run my own web site? |

| Hi. It is absolutely not required to know PHP/MySQL for running own web site. You should learn these things only if you plan to make web sites professionally. PHP is programming language and MySQL is database SQL server. Even for professionals these knowledge is not required because you have many other languages and database servers like ASP, Python, Access, MSSql etc. You need only to learn Dreamweaver or FrontPage to make and publish your web site. |
