| Hurraaa! I bought second HDD finally! Actually it was about a time, meaning was insanely swamped with files no more space, not even for one movie left. When I over pack I over pack. I think I can manage and handle installing the new HDD with all that jumper routine but there is another puzzle occupying my mind – matter of OS. To join two HDD with one OS do I need to reinstall Windows or it can be done in some other way, that won’t ask for extra fuss and job- backup files and rebuilding program list (installing programs that you need all over again after reinstalling the Windows)? |

Congrats! You did something that I was supposed to do a long time ago, prolonging the inevitable, for obvious reasons that you just mentioned. I am somehow even scared to think about, so I usual drill when that thought crosses my mind is; shake head to make it go away and back off from that action. Last time I needed to backup my files, took 2 weeks of my life so now I truly understand why you are questioning the reinstalling Windows option. I think there is another way just not sure that I can provide steps how to do it so you must look further for other opinions, hopefully useful ones... What I know for sure is that you must be aware that your current system is not, let’s say “damaged” with too many errors. I am somehow almost certain it could be done without making the extreme move that you already brought up here as option, possibly some programs can do that trick easily, thought that should not be dismissed cause these days there is a program for almost everything so no wonder I think that way .Apologize again for giving you just hope and not some helpful information. |
