Go to the Microsofts site and use its help section. They are also offering a on-line support which is nice. Trouble shooting section is maybe the best way to maintain your hard drive. I run a Windows server 2002 Pro for my business office, and it will not work as it should be, even in Administrator mode. Its much harder also if you are running it and sign in as a different user. You have to have the administrators permissions. I got a free application from the internet which is called Advanced Window Cleaner. It checks your entire system and gives you a system report. Even your registry issues are included. It also has a Memory Map Cleaner utility to retrieve the fragmented hard drive. Disk clean up is basically Win XP tool so I dont know what is your system. What is it? Is it a Linux, Windows XP, server or what?
