Hi, guys. I'm totally inexperienced when it comes to Macs, so bear with me here. What happens is. My files and folders keep disappearing when I save them to the network. If I save them locally everything's fine, so I'm assuming the problem has something to do with network settings in Mac OS, is that right? What do I need to reconfigure so that this doesn't happen any more? Thanks,

I might be wrong, but I don't think it's a configuration issue at all. Saving to network directly is not a good idea in general, regardless of what OS you're using. If you're trying to share access to your files/folders, just save them to the local HD, and then "upload", depending on your setup.
