Hello everyone. I have external LG SA-5163D, connected via USB to my XP Professional box. After some time this device disappears from My Computer and I have to turn it off and then on to make it appear again. I thought that these devices are always accessible, once installed. Is there any way to fix this problem?

Hello. Disappearing drive problem is probably tied to two things. First change settings in Power Management because USB ports are usually set to “power off when idle”. Change this setting to “always on” and your problem will be solved. Second option is bad USB driver and you should reinstall it in that case.
