Hello guys. I am so addicted to windows 2000 that I cant stand no more without standard login screen or welcome screen, whatever. I am using Xp now and there are a lot of programs that I need because of my job, and they all require Windows XP with service pack 2 installed. How do I force XP to type my password and user account name every time I start up my session, without pictures? Thanks for help.

You can do that with ease. Go to your control panel and choose user accounts. You must have admin privileges, I hope that you at least know that. Under user account options you have the option change the way users log on or off. And there, disable the first feature that enables welcome screen. Regular as inside the 2000 or fancy like inside XP. You dont need to disable the fast user switching capability.
