Hi there. Does anyone know, shall I disable my firewall in XP Pro? That thing is really annoying me, and I am thinking of getting rid of it? Can it really be dangerous for my system? I do not know what to do? I am for disabling it, but some of my friends are strongly against. I would really appreciate any info. Thans in advance

LOL. Nothing that bad can happen to your system, really. Especially if you have some antivirus with good firewall installed. For example, my firewall in XP Pro is disabled from the day it is installed, but I am using Kaspersky from the same day. It has its own, even better firewall, and grants me better protection. But, in my opinion, you shouldn't let your system function without firewall, because it can really be dangerous. Windows is vulnerable, and it is very important to keep it protected by good antivirus programe and good firewall. So, disable that protection only if you have better one to offer. If not, you van lower its security levels a bit.
