I have shared files in XP Home, but this is only simple file sharing and I cannot set any specific sharing options for different folders. Is there any way to do it? I am not sure how to do it, as I do not have too much experience. If anyone could help me with some suggestions, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Simple file sharing is not the only one there is in Home XP. However, it is probably the only one you can set up easily. You can do what you want, but the procedure is a bit complicated. You have to enter a safe mode. After that, log in as administrator, as that is the only way you can change sharing settings. Now, when you are administrator, find every folder for which you need to change permissions. Right click, select ''properties'' and change the permissions as you wish to.
