I bought a new computer recently and I was quite satisfied with it until the minute I installed the Need for Speed Underground 2. The sound was OK but the graphics were totally gone – nothing but the blank screen! I ran dxdiag and it gave me curious results –I could see the cube but not the logo! What do you think I should do now? Update drivers perhaps? My GFX is NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 GFX, I have Pentium 4 3,0 GH and ASUS P4P800SE mobo. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Most probably it’s just the graphic card that’s gone wrong. You might try updating drivers but I doubt it would help. I just think that your card is faulty. You should perhaps try borrowing another from some of your friends and plugging it into your mobo. If it works, than it’s obvious that it’s the card that’s making the problem. But if not, it might also be that something is wrong with the slot it’s plugged into or that the power supply isn’t working right. I hope you fix this somehow!
