Difference between a laptop and a notebook?

Hello everyone. Can you tell me what the difference is between laptop and notebook computers? This question bugs me for some time. I have noticed that laptop computers are sometimes called notebook. But, I have also noticed that there are real notebook computers. Are they that similar so one model can be called notebook and laptop?

Hello. Notebook and laptop computers are very similar. But, there are several differences. Notebook computers are smaller, does not have built in CD or DVD drive (can be attached externally), have minimal graphics subsystem, does not have floppy drive, have smaller screen size (12’’ – 14”). As technology continues to advance distinction between these two types will continue to fade.
