Hello! I am running Windows XP Home operating system with SP2 installed. Since few days ago I have very strange problem and II just do not know how to solve it. When I boot this system, I am getting error message saying that explorer has encountered a problem and will be closed. After that (when I click OK), all of my icons disappear from the desktop and after some time they are backed, but some of them are missed.

Hello! This problem is connected to Windows Explorer. I know that many people have or had exactly the same problem, but no one until now did find real solution. There are few possibilities which work but… You can use System Restore and restore system on date before this problem; you can try to repair and recovery Windows XP using installation disc or you can reinstall system.
