Hello. I was thinking something about this terminology and the old DOS together. Ms DOS does not mean Denial of Service, right? It is more like BSoD like for Blue Screen of Death I suppose... Never mind that, I will get the whole picture by my self one day I hope. What I wanted to know is just something more about this kind of attacks. What is it? What does Denial of Service attack, actually does with the machine? Thanks in advance.

Hi there. Well it is very simple. Follow your logic. Something wont work when the responsible service is disabled or the exact service refuses to operate. If you are not sure about DoS attack, than here are some symptoms. All of the sudden you just cant browse the internet as fast as you could earlier, you have very huge number of spams inside your mailbox (without any clue how) or you just cant open every web page you are trying to.
