Hi, I'm having a laptop problem… keyboard-related, specifically. Everything was working OK, but since recently, pressing certain keys (F, S, P, "{", and others) displays wrong characters, and even whole strings of characters I don't even recognize. This is happening more and more often. Is there anything I can do about this? Is it possible to replace the keyboard without buying a new laptop? Thanks for your time.

Did you try cleaning it first? The easiest way would be to just overturn the laptop and give it a good shake for the dust and other garbage to fall out. Then use q-tips and alcohol to clean between all the keys. If that doesn't work, you could try opening the case and detaching the keyboard so that you can clean it out directly. You need to be careful here, because it's very easy to damage it permanently. If you can't make it work, just take it back to Dell and they should replace it.
