| I want to install Linux on my dell inspiron 5150 laptop, but I dont know which distro to pick. Lots of people tell me that linuxes run bad on laptops, that they are primarily made for desktop computers. So what is the best linux for my laptop? Should I try Ubuntu? |

| Well, thats not true. I mean, most distros run completely ok on laptops! You just need proper drivers to install with it, but most distros can detect your hardware without problems. So you should go to distrowatch and pick what you like. My personal favorites are Kubuntu (KDE version of Ubuntu), or PCLinuxOS. |
