Hi, all. The display on my Dell doesn't work no more. When I start it up, nothing is shown, the whole screen is black, but Windows does start (auto log on) coz I can hear the startup sound. I never had this kind of problem with it before, in fact, I don't remember ever having to deal with a hardware issue on this laptop. Some help, please?

You could try to verify if it's really the display or if your motherboard's malfunctioning. Plug in a desktop monitor (I assume there's a port in the back?) and see if anything shows. If it does, it's the display, and there's little hope of getting that fixed (usually cheaper to just have the whole thing replaced). If it stays black, there's something wrong with your motherboard and presumably it can be fixed, so take it in for repair.
