| Hello. I downloaded and installed the new drivers for a Dell Inspiron 1100 that I got recently, just preemptively you understand. I'm afraid, though, that this is what screwed things up now. Among many minor nuances, the most serious problem is that I can no longer set my screen resolution to anything above 640 x 860. I can't seem to find fresher drivers than what I've got now, and I don't know how what else to try. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

| Well, were the higher screen resolutions available before you did the driver update? If so, you could just roll back to the previous version of the drivers and be done with it. Other than that, what OS are you running? Some distributions of Linux are known to not play nicely with Dell laptops, video-wise… |
