Greetings. I really hate this application. It looks pretty ugly in the system tray. That ugly green color. No wonder why Microsoft developed Windows Live Messenger that is pretty much different in every view. Anyway, I want to disable that stupid Windows Messenger from my system, in fact I want to remove it completely. I heard it is no big deal to so that at all. How? Thanks in advance.

Wow, I mean,… if you say so, about Messenger. Famous Windows Messenger. GO to the Program Files folder in your C drive and just select Messenger folder, then press F2 button and add letters OFF at the end of the folder name. Something like this: MessengerOFF. This will not allow messenger to run at all. If you want to remove it for sure, then you need to find and edit one file. Go to the C:\Windows\inf\ and open sysoc.inf with notepad. There you need to delete words ‘hide’ but nothing else instead, which will force your system to display all integrated windows components including Windows Messenger, inside add or remove windows components, which you cannot find there without doing this.
