I am running Windows 98 on some old computer. My hard drive become heavily fragmented during years an now I need finally to defragment it. I know about built in defragmentation program, but I also know how slow and unreliable it is. Can you recommend me some other way to defragment hard drive in Windows 98?

There are some very good programs out there that can very efficiently defragment hard drive and they have some very nice options besides defragmenting. I personally like DiskKeeper because of its auto defragment set and forget option. You can set it defragment hard when computer is idle and to prevent some heavy fragmentation later. Other good program is UltimateDefrag from DiskTrix.
