Defence against viruses and worms

Hello! When I surf internet and visit some forums (just to inform myself), I notice that there are many people whom are infected by viruses and worms. They got these malicious programs while they read e-mail or surfed internet, etc. So, my question is: how defense against viruses and worms? Thank you!

Hello! I suppose so that you already have installed firewall and antivirus software on your system. You need to update your antivirus database every day (best if you set automatic update). You need to scan your system once per week and if you catch some virus remove it from the system. Thats the only way you can fight against viruses and worms.
