Decent search engine recommendation

Hello. I need to find some information on the internet and my professor suggested me to use some search engine. But, I really do not know for any decent search engine. I am wondering now if you are able to recommend me some decent search engine (and explain me what decent search engine is). Thanks.

Hello. I am sure that you are already know what search engine is. Search engine is Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. I prefer Google. Google is really great search engine and it is one of the most used search engines in the world. From recently started with working Wikia Search, too (this is Wikipedia product). But, I cannot tell you if this is decent search engine because I have not tried it.
