| Hello! I have purchased new Sony DRU-170C dvd burner few days ago. Now, I am facing with a problem. Namely, whenever I boot empty dvd, this dvd burner see it like empty cd. I thought that I made some mistake due installation, but my friend told me that he heard that some guy has same problem as I. |

| Hello! I suggest you to try to update your firmware. I think that updating will solve your problem. But, if do not, then I think that maybe your dvd burner is Sonys bad patch. In fact, it would be the best to contact their technical support before you do anything and ask them for advice. I think that they will know the best! |
