Hello to everyone. DVD burner is not recognized in Windows suddenly. There is no DVD icon in “My Computer”. I can see LED working on DVD, however. Also, I can insert DVD media in this device but nothing happens after that. I would really appreciate any suggestion regarding this problem with DVD burner. Thank you in advance.

Hello there. You can try several things to troubleshoot this problem. Generally speaking, when DVD burner is not recognized in Windows suddenly then either DVD burner died or Windows needs repairing. Enter BIOS and use autodetect to see if BIOS will give you any information about DVD burner. If it gives correct information then repair Windows XP installation. If BIOS can not recognize DVD burner then check if everything is connected like it should be.
