I had a wish yesterday: I wanted to smash to pieces my dvd rom! I had to install some backup files because they were needed to me if I want to finish my job before deadline pasting. But, no, my dvd rom wont read that media. And just to make things worse, it stopped to read any media. What I should do?

Buy new dvd rom. Just joking (but it could be that I am right). Probably your dvd rom is dirty. Take out it from case and clean it, then try to read some media. If that doesnt work, try to change IDE cable maybe IDE has been damaged; maybe it is really broken. Go to some hardware expert and try to fix it.
