Hello there. My Sony DVD player is behaving strangely these days. It refuses to read DVD media. CD media is fine and it reads it without problems. When I insert DVD media in device it starts to work, I can see LED flashing but then nothing happens. When I try to open it to see contents it shows like empty DVD media. Do you know what is happening here?

Hello. It looks like your DVD player is behaving strange because it is malfunction. Every DVD device has several lenses for reading different kind of media. In your case lens for reading DVD media is gone bad or it is dirty. Try first to clean it with DVD cleaner disk. If that does not help then, I am afraid, you will have to buy new DVD device.
