Hello! I have unusual problem. When I boot my win XP OS, my DVD drive is dead after this startup. When I press button to open it, I cannot see led light at all and I cannot open it. I do not know what the cause of this problem be, but I assume that some hardware thing is in question. Any idea?

Hello! I suggest you to, first, go to your device Manager and see if there is listed your DVD drive at all (I think that it is not). If it is not, click for finding new hardware button. If that does not help, then open your case and see if your DVD drive is connected properly with power supply (maybe cable is dropped down). Cause could be following: broken IDE cable or broken drive.
