Hello. I want to try some of DVD decoding software, I want to see how does it works, because I want to start playing with certain video material. So, is there any good and also free DVD decoding software for download and what is decoding actually? Can somebody explain? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Yes there are many of them free for encoding and decoding DVD and mpeg files also. You can try Media Player Classic or VLC media player. Windows Media Player v 11 also has great support for decoding video materials. They are all free. But software like InterVideo or Cyberlink are free as long the trial period lasts. The word Decoding, by the way means, playback of the specific material in the video terminology, or that is just what I know about it.
