Hi there. I saw an option to repair network connection from the support tab in network connection details window. There is also a DNS cache flush. What is DNS and why is cache so important? Is there any need to set DNS parameters when I am setting up home network without internet access? Oh, and is it necessary and how much often should I flush the cache from the systems memory? Thanks in advance.

You dont need to mess around much with repairing of desired connection, if there are no problems and your link works nice. DNS is there to resolve the name host. Without Domain Name Service, you cannot access any site. Cache is not so important but can speed up linking to desired location when needed. You can flush as much often as you want. DNS parameters are needed only if you are using hardware router, or that is just my opinion. There is no need for DNS addresses even if you are using internet connection sharing.
