I should have dla available for my sonic record now software. I said I should because I am not sure have it or not. I have done everything properly: checked dla, tried to format disk But, I am not sure that I really formatted it. Do you know, maybe, is there some program I can get to format a disk and make it usable?
p.s.
I use XP OS.

I think that the best solution is to uninstall whole Sonic program and install it again. To disable dla in XP OS, do following:
Right click to my computer, then choose properties, then click dla tab in the properties box, then click enable dla on your drivers checkbox until check mark disappears, after that click ok. When you finish your backup, you can enable it (I suppose that you know how again checkbox for enabling).
