I have set up a small network at home (Windows 2003 Standard Server, SP1) and I have DHCP on the server. I’m not really experienced with networks so my question might sound dumb to some of you here, anyway I have to ask it. I have the following issue: when I enable Windows firewall the clients can't get the IP address. How can I make this work all right?

Hi! First of all, you shouldn’t think that everyone here is really experienced and know everything. You can see that there’s tons of questions and they mostly come from people like you. Your question is a very common one when it comes to beginners and it has a simple answer: you should open the port 53 in Windows firewall and everything will be OK. Don’t hesitate to ask more questions whenever you need to.
