Hi guys, I might have a network-related problem though I'm not quite sure right now. What happens is, I keep getting disconnected from the ICQ net for no apparent reason, at random intervals (usually about 10 minutes between). The weird thing is everything else works more or less normally. How can I confirm whether or not this is a problem with my system, or if it is provider-related?
ICQ disconnecting doesn't mean much, in and off itself. Their network is (or at least was, last time I checked) notoriously unstable, and could be dropping you for no good reason at all, especially if the problem hasn't persisted for too long.
To make sure everything else is working OK, try pinging a site like googl.com manually, and see if everything goes through as it should.
