We have a network with six computers at our workplace. Last month, we connected to the other network with four computers. From that moment, I had the filling that our network works rapidly slower then earlier. At first, I thought that I am just imaging it. However, yesterday I installed software for measuring network performance and I found out that our 100Mbps switch works at 10Mbps. What should I do for proper connecting of two networks?

Your problem is not caused by connecting two networks. If they see each other, everything is OK with that connection. From your story, I understand that you have 10/100Mbps network cards in all computers in the network. If you are not certain then be sure to check that immediately before anything else. Also, check that maybe somebody did not reduce the speed of its 10/100Mbps network adapter to work at lower rate. You have a switch as you say, and most switches nowadays have auto sense option. That means that if only one machine in the network has lower connection speed, switch automatically reduce the speed of all the others to that speed. Otherwise, you will all have to set your card to 10Mbps if you want that your network work correctly.
