| First of all plug in your router on your computer. Plug it on the back of your casing with matching socket. Turn your router on. System (XP) will recognize it in few seconds. Choose a wireless connection type in Network Connections in Control Panel. In the documents you got see the address of the router. Go to the home page. Change the password and username! This is for security reasons. Now, click on the RUN command and type cmd, click enter, type ipconfig/all, that way you should get your IP address. Finally adjust your firewall preferences and you will be on the Ethernet in no time. |
