Hello! I have two computers and each of them has one network card. I also have cable internet. So, I want to make network with these two computers. I have called internet service provider technical support and they told me that one NIC should have two IP addresses os something like that, I did not understand them quite well. Can you explain me this? Thanks!

Hello! I am positive sure that your internet service provider technical support did not tell you that you should set two addresses on your network card, because that is impossible. They told you that you need to have two network cards on one computer. In one network card you should attach cable modem and other one to use for connecting with second computer.
