Compaq presario 1235 notebook weak battery?

I have Compaq Presario 1235 notebook. While I was surfing internet and listening some mp3 music my notebook just shut down. I have tried to power it up but in vain. I do not know what happened with it. Battery was recharged only 30 minutes ago and it should hold for another hour or so as it always did. I hope that nothing seriously happened to it. Do you have some ideas what the problem could be?

I believe that your battery is weak. Try to recharge it again. Also try to power on your notebook while battery is taken out (yes, that can be done on Compaq Presario). Just plug it in power supply with AC adapter and see what happens. If notebook powers up in both cases then battery is weak and should be replaced.
