Compaq Presario R4000 won't load up

I have a very urgent problem. My Compaq Presario R4000 won’t load up. It gets only to Windows logo screen with progress bar and then stops. I have waited for about fifteen minutes and then decided to restart computer. After this I have tried to start it in safe mode but it get stuck on loading mup.sys file. Can you provide me any help?

Hello. I think that you will have to install Windows XP again in order to fix this problem with Compaq Presario R4000. This problem is not connected to certain computer model but to all computers that run Microsoft operating system. Trouble with computer that won’t load up and freezing while loading mup.sys are connected to drivers, hardware faults and any other error you can imagine and there is no certain way to find out what really is wrong. Maybe someone else will have some better advice to give you.
