I'm not totally sure on that TBH, I mean I just think it might be overheating, but if it's not, I don't know what else it could be. First it was kind of loud, so I figured the fans weren't working alright, but before I could get some additional cooling, it started switching off right after the start as if the battery was empty, even though it's not, it says it's at 100! What's going on here?

Check the system temperatures in BIOS, then report here. But still, overheating generally doesn't occur "right after the start", it usually takes time for it to, you know, overheat. So I'm guessing it's something else,. Maybe your battery is somehow defective. Did you try it plugged in, sans the battery? How did it work then?
