After 14 dependable months, my Compaq Presario C300 no longer boots up. After pushing the Power button, the Power button and Volume mute buttons quickly flash for about 3 seconds, then the lights go out and it's "dead". With the power cord plugged in, the battery charge icon is on, but after trying to boot it, the charge icon gets into a constant flickering mode (until I unplug it, re-plug it back in, then the light goes back on).
I've tried reseating the memory modules, pulling out the battery and just using the power cord, but nothing helps. I've removed the hard drive and hooked it up via USB to another machine and that seems to work fine.
Any ideas? Thanks |

| I have the same computer, but I used another one with a defective screen to do at least a working one. Anyway, the same problem happened with the newly created one. I think the processor is damaged. I'll try changing it, if it works I'll let you know |
