I have a Compaq Presario 1245 laptop which doesn't start up. I haven't used it for two years, it was serviced before I put it away.
When I plug in the AC and switch it on, light comes up recognizing the AC power, it makes a noise as if it's booting up but it doesn't start, nothing comes up on the screen and it continues making the boot up sounds. I have replaced the Lithium CMOS cell inside hoping that would cure the problem but still the same, nothing has happenedI. Should I get a new battery. Or does this sound like the motherboard has died? |
