Compaq Armada M700 Ethernet Controller

I have bought refurbished Compaq Armada M700 laptop. It came with Windows 98SE so I decided to install Windows XP. It is a little bit sluggish but it works. I have only problem with Ethernet controller. Windows XP did not recognize it and I do not know what network card is exactly in this laptop. Can you give me some help?

Well, it is rather old laptop and I do not think that you will find windows XP drivers for this laptop on Compaq official web site. You should download Belarc advisor program to diagnose your hardware and to give you exact type of network card. Also, one of the options is to visit driverguide web site and to find appropriate drivers for your laptop.
