Compaq 2500 Presario Notebook can't power up!

Hi! I have big trouble with my Compaq Presario 2500 notebook. It won’t boot at all, it doesn’t make any sound, there are no lights…nothing. I thought that it has to be the power pak so I tested it but it turns out it’s fine. Do you have any other ideas on what might be causing this and how I could fix it? Thanks in advance!

I suppose your notebook is not under warranty anymore so you might as well open it and try finding the problem yourself. Sometimes, the cause to such problems may be the excess dust that is gathering on the heatsink fan. Try removing it but be gentle with it of course. If this doesn’t do the trick, I think you’ll have to take it somewhere to have it repaired since you might even do more damage by trying to fix it yourself.
