I have a laptop with antivirus and firewall installed. These are part of Symantec Client Security solution and I have some occasional problems with this. The real problem is that I travel a lot and am rarely in a situation to get help regarding computer when I need it. I had some problems before, but especially since this security software is installed. I can not reach regular update for windows and my computer is pretty slower in almost all the tasks it does. Maybe someone can tell me if this is necessarily because of Symantec software or not.

You are probably in right about slow down of your computer, especially if the time when slowdowns started corresponds with installation of security software. Nevertheless there might be some more reason for this. I suggest you to visit where you can find a link about Troubleshooting Symantec Client Security (SCS). This might be of help, since some setting adjustments probably could make your computer work better. The cause of your computer’s update inability might be just Symantec software.
