I have a dell computer for last two years and everything worked fine. However, now I have a problem. When I started the computer yesterday, I could smell that something is burning. Since that, my computer is not starting. Should I do some checking of my power supply? Thanks in advance.

I am almost completely certain that your power supply unit is death. I think you will have to buy new power supply. However, there is one big problem with that. Dell, like many other big computer companies, has been putting special power supply units in its computers. They have different connectors that the standard power supply units. You have three choices in front of you. First is to try to repair your current power supply units in some computer service. Second is to try to find some used units for dell computers over the Internet. Last and most expensive thing is to take your Dell computer to some Dell service and they will take care of it. However, that would cost you a little more.
