Hey, all. Need some help w/firefox and download extensions. I installed Flash Got the other day – heard it's real good and reliable and stuff, so I thought I'd try, I was sick of that plain little download window anyway. Now, whenever I try to start a download, an option box pops out, and I'm supposed to select a download manager form a dropdown menu! I mean WTF, didn't I just set up Flash Got as the DL manager? I try to choose another one, but they're all like grayed out. What am I supposed to do here?

Actually, if you had bothered to read up on FlashGot, you'd have realized it's not really a download manager program. It's just an extension for Firefox that lets you set up which links are to be recognized as downloads, and start up the actual DL client. You need to have /some/ DL client installed, and select it in the drop-down menu that you get. You can get HiDownload, iGetter, Free Download Manager, etc. off the net, and then set them up within the FlashGot extension.
