I have this Celeron 345 3.06Ghz processor and I’ve been quite satisfied with it, but I’ve recently noticed that its performance gradually drops. I don’t know what the reason could be, since I haven’t installed any new hardware and I even reinstalled Windows recently. And still the PC is slower than before. Do you know what can cause this and is it serious?

Hm, unless it’s something to do with hardware, meaning that something is wrong with your processor, I see no reason why this happens. The only thing that crosses my mind is that you’ve maybe installed too much games and other software that are too demanding so that PC can’t perform any faster. I actually don’t know whether certain compatibility has to be maintained between the processor and other parts of the hardware and that something else maybe can affect the speed of the processor. Anyway, if the problem persists, you really should consider taking your PC to service. If there is a hardware error, you shouldn’t risk your processor suddenly getting out of order.
