Hello. I'm using a Win 2003 Server to manage a LAN of six almost identical machines running XP, but I seem to be doing something wrong. The problem is, I can't see the machines on the network, let alone access them and share resources. Browsing doesn’t work, I need to enter the IP address of each machine directly to get access. What am I doing wrong here?

Once, confirm that the subnet mask does cover all the addresses. Two, make sure the workgroup name is the same on all machines. Three, don't forget to include the server in the workgroup too (yes, this does happen). Finally, you can always DNS locally, and just have stations to the server for their DNS.
