| I have recently purchased a new computer and with it NOD32 antivirus. I was told in the store that I need to update it regularly, but I seem unable to do so. In fact, whenever I try to do so, I get the message that it cannot be done. Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong, if anything? Thanks for the help in advance, it really means a lot. |

| Updating antivirus is really essential for protecting your computer. It is not enough if your antivirus is a good one, as NOD32 really is, if you do not update it. New viruses appear all the time, and as they appear antivirus companies are finding ways to protect you against these to. That is why update is so important. If you cannot do it, there might be three reasons for that. First, you are not connected to the internet. If you are not using it too often, you may be unaware of that fact, so check out whether that is the case. If not, many antiviruses have automatic update turned on, so it might be the case that it is already updated. Finally, not uncommon at all, the servers at the antivirus company could have some problems so you are unable to download updates from there. In any case, have patience and be sure to check regularly for updates. |
